I’ve found Tastytrade fees to be fairly transparent, which is something I appreciate. Stock trades have no commission, which is great for Tastytrade account holders who want to keep costs low. However, when it comes to options and futures, I do encounter Tastytrade commissions, such as $1 per contract to open an options trade. Additionally, Tastytrade forex is not available, and the Tastytrade commissions and fees on cryptos are capped at $10 per order, but they charge 1% of the total crypto purchase to open and close positions. For me, the lack of Tastytrade forex options is a bit of a downside, but overall, the Tastytrade platform offers competitive pricing, even though I still need to be mindful of the various commissions and fees that could impact my trading profitability.
